Queens temper the Kings Knowledge and Wisdom

Woke up this morning drinking coffee watching the Eastern sun come up from the seas.  Something I had not done in a thousand years.  I looked around my horizon all appeared as usual  and the skies above nothing had changed since yesterday.

Deities

  a supernatural being considered divine or sacred. The Oxford Dictionary of English defines deity as “a god or goddess, or anything revered as divine, “a being with powers greater than those of ordinary humans, but who interacts with humans, positively or negatively, in ways that carry humans to new levels of consciousness, beyond the grounded preoccupations of ordinary life”. In the English language, a male deity is referred to as a god, while a female deity is referred to as a goddess.

Since I am a Creationist I follow the Laws of Nature.  The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, ” you can not create something from nothing”.  So I had to ask myself a couple of questions;

  1. What are the mechanics in creating a Deity ?
  2. What is the cost benefit to an individual in creating a Deity?

Since we already defined what a Deity is next thing you have to do is find a willing subject dress it up a bit and put the right clothes on him or her to make them become opulent in the window panes of the citadels.

So I walked around the dusty streets of Mesopotamia where I grew up as a child and remember a story my grandfathers used to tell me of a Queen that lived decades ago long before I was born.  How after she died she become a goddess.

My Grandfather told me she was a Sumerian Queen Her name was Kug-Bau and was the only one queen ever listed on the Sumerian King List.  She reigned roughly 100 years during the Dynastic 111 period (ca. 2500 – 2330 BC) in Sumerian history.

He told me that before she became a queen she was what you would call an “alewife”.  I already knew that this was someone who brewed beer for commercial use. My Grandfather told me that on her epithet was inscribed,” the woman tavern keeper”.My Grandfather pulled out a picture from his carry sack and showed it to me.  He gave it to me so I could show it to others;

She was 5′ 7 inches tall had shoulder length hair with brown eyes weighed about 130 pd’s slender build by all accounts. As you could see had strong facial features.  She was by all aspects as I can tell was a comely woman.  Who came from the house of Kish 3rd dynasty.

My Grandfather told that Puzar-Nirah king of Akshak (ca. 2500 BC) told of a story about the rise of the house of Kubaba.  Here is the actual newspaper accounts;

 the freshwater fishermen of Esagila were catching fish for the meal of the great lord Marduk; the officers of the king took away the fish. The fisherman was fishing when 7 (or 8) days had passed […] in the house of Kubaba, the tavern-keeper […] they brought to Esagila. At that time BROKEN[4] anew for Esagila […] Kubaba gave bread to the fisherman and gave water, she made him offer the fish to Esagila. Marduk, the king, the prince of the Apsû, favored her and said: “Let it be so!” He entrusted to Kubaba, the tavern-keeper, sovereignty over the whole world.”

So she was a Deity before she came to power and after she died, her son took the throne.  Her son Puzur-Suen and grandson Ur-Zababa followed her on the throne of Sumer as the fourth Kish dynasty on the king list.

Sometime after her death  Shrines in honor of Kubaba spread  throughout Mesopotamia.  In the Hurrian area, she may be identified with Kebat, or Hepat, one title of the Hurrian Mother goddess Hannahannah (from Hurrian Hannah, “mother“). Abdi-Heba was the palace mayor, ruling Jerusalem at the time of the Amarna letters (1350 BC).

*Ḫebat, also transcribed, Khepat, was the mother goddess of the Hurrians, known as “the mother of all living“.[1] She is also a Queen of the deities.

I asked my Grandfather if there was a moral to the story.  He told me if you want to snooker people put a face to it and create a plausible story create your own deity.   You can make a lot of money.   If you just like to drink beer marry an “alewife”.  Keep it simple.

I look at him and asked one more question,  Deity sort of like this guy.

YEP,

it is time for you to go to school son and my Grandfather left and went home.

For you see we all of the Spirit of Life within us,  where it came from and where it is going, I do not know.   But we all have an obligation to pass that, Spirit of Life, on to others.   Where I came from and where I am going I will let you know when I get there.  Someone just asked me why?

We have all sat before our Creation since time began no denying that.
