IAM that IAM

Gen 2: 6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

When you interpret scripture.  You have to look through the eyes of the ancients.  How did they see Creation around them.  Since the scripture has the word, mist, in it.  I will narrow your focus.

They knew that rivers gave life to all.  Its sustained life for families, domesticated animals if they had any.  They watched all life around them drink water.  Water was had a spirit in the Creation around them.   They knew that looking around them and into the heavens.  They knew that there was a Creator that surrounded them with his Creation.

To describe this spirit.  They knew that if they boiled water it would rise up towards the heavens.  You could see a body vapor and you could put your hands through it.  You could see, touch it but could not grasp it.

Face of the ground.  They were standing on the ground; face is a literal translation that is your face male or female.

They had an earthly father but they knew they had a heavenly Father who created you male or female with the spirit of Life.

The altars of men cannot see the mist they only see the ground.  The ground had its own spirit.  That is where everyone went to die. Sort of like the altars of men today where you go to die.

I have a spirit a body you can touch me but you can’t grasp my spirit but you can see it on my face and eyes.  Like Moses when he came down from the mountain a mist of Creation surrounded his face.
