Synopsis of the Story
This is a literal journey in the flesh. But figuratively it is a split between I am and a nations unbelief. We are talking about spiritual things. When you see the phrase went in unto her. This is not sexual intercourse. This means man accepted a thought and went to bed with it, in his mind.
Jacob fell in love with Rachael and wanted to marry her. For she was beautiful and young. Leah the oldest daughter however was a comely woman/mature. Laban told Jacob he would have to wait 7 years before he could come into her. When the day came Laban tricked Jacob into going into Leah. He thought it was Rachal.
Jacob was mad and wanted to marry Rachel. Laban agreed and let Jacob stay with Racheal before he could go into her. Laban gave up his daughter to be Rachel’s maid. Rachel was barren she could not create life her womb/heart was barren. What this means is that a woman that loses her nature she cannot create life. She does not believe in I am.
Now Jacob was married to two Women, Leah the oldest and Rachel the youngest. When I am saw that Leah was hated he opened her womb. What this means is a woman who understands her nature. She is no longer barren and who births and creates life from her womb/heart.
There is a lot going on between Gen. 29 to 32. It is good to read just take your time and define the names and the words that you come across. However I want to point you eyes to something in particular. I listed Judaism amongst the 7 great religions of the world and her goddess/ Asherah. That are going to be judged along with the rest.
Some of you might have heard me that there is a vast difference between a Hebrew and me which has no ethnic religious belief in any of the 7 religions of the world. We only believe in I am. Gen 1: 27. I chose to belief in the one who told me his name, I am. This is the split between week one and week two.
24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
Israel means to contend to fight.
There is the split between the one who chose me/ I am who has existed for eternity between the Shepherd’s Staff and unbelief in the managers of religions.
Jacob was wrestling between belief and unbelief. He chose belief. When you wrestled with thoughts you are going to get bruised. I am the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
I am traveling all the way to Gen 1:27 and into eternity. So in the morning when you open your eyes.
Do like me, grab a cup of coffee, sit in my chair and ask, Who I am, where I came from and where I am going today in eternity. Tomorrow has not arrived yet. The past is behind you.
