Gospel of Thomas or actually: The Gospel According to Thomas also known as Codex II was found in Egypt in 1945. The very interesting thing is that the book contains direct citations of Jesus Christ in 114 verses. The Gospel of Thomas was written in 340 in Coptic, but the foundations are earlier oral traditions.
Since my last name is Thomas I figured I would paste some of my memorable sayings from the past to bring it to you in the present. The pushback would be it is not canonized. If you got down to it one person canonized the origins of the King James Bible. Everything has a birth then by the hands of men then it morphs through evolutionary processes outside the Laws of Nature. Snippets of what I wrote;
1 And he said, “Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not
2 Jesus said, “Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will rule over all.”
3 Jesus said, “If your leaders say to you, ‘Look, the (Father’s) imperial rule is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you.
If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father’s) imperial rule is inside you and outside you.
When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But
if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty.”
10 Jesus said, “I have cast fire upon the world, and look, I’m guarding it until it blazes.”
11 Jesus said, “This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. 3
During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive. When you are in the light, what will you do? on the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?”
12 The disciples said to Jesus, “We know that you are going to leave us. Who
will be our leader?”
Jesus said to them, “No matter where you are, you are to go to James the just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being.”
13 Jesus said to his disciples, “Compare me to something and tell me what I
Simon Peter said to him, “You are like a just angel.”
Matthew said to him, “You are like a wise philosopher.”
Thomas said to him, “Teacher, my mouth is utterly unable to say what you are like.”Jesus said, “I am not your teacher. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring that I have tended.
The bubbling spring refers to the troubled waters of Bethesda,
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
I am not your teacher, get up and walk;
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
Sounds like me 38 yrs of being lied to by the teachers of mans gods.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
This refers to to the God in the Garden in the Creation of your Nature.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
And he took him, and withdrew, and spoke three sayings to him.
When Thomas came back to his friends, they asked him, “What did Jesus say to you?”
Thomas said to them, “If I tell you one of the sayings he spoke to me, you will pick up rocks and stone me, and fire will come from the rocks and devour you.”
14 Jesus said to them, “If you fast, you will bring sin upon yourselves, and if you pray, you will be condemned, and if you give to charity, you will harm your spirits. When you go into any region and walk about in the countryside, when people take you in, eat what they serve you and heal the sick among them. After all, what goes into your mouth won’t defile you; what comes out
of your mouth will.”
15 Jesus said, “When you see one who was not born of woman, fall on your faces and worship. That one is your Father.”
It could be me but Jesus was not pointing to himself. He was not pointing to Muhammad or to the other men who created religions around the world. He was not pointing to me who wrote this, Thomas. This goes back to what I wrote in my blog,”Christianity’s Holiest Week. An immortal god came down and put his seed in a mortal woman and out came a man-god.
16 Jesus said, “Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war. For there will be five in a house: there’ll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone.”
18 The disciples said to Jesus, “Tell us, how will our end come?”
Jesus said, “Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is. Congratulations to the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death.”
Semitic/Aramaic the past is your present go back into the Garden of Genesis and there you will find what you are looking for.
48 Jesus said, “If two make peace with each other in a single house, they will say to the mountain, ‘Move from here!’ and it will move.”
The mountain refers to your children because you stand higher in their eyes like gods. They look up to you they are looking up into the heavens. But if you think you can move the Rocky Mountains far be it from me to stop you.
49 Jesus said, “Congratulations to those who are alone and chosen, for you will find the (Father’s) domain. For you have come from it, and you will return there again.”
I could not have written these words any better. Sometimes you have to quit listening to other men and return to the past, Genesis and find your nature within the Laws of Intelligent design, God. Tomorrow is the Sixth day in the series , “Who Am I”. Then I will run a series on “Who do I Serve.”
The difference between me and pastors of the clothe. A pastor will never teach you more than he wants you to know if he did . You would have no use for him. Teaching I leave the judgement in your court to mull over a decision that you arrive at. The word pastor does not exist in the Aramaic language it is something that one man put in the manuscripts for control. Magic by a sleight of hand. Like poker I call,” Show me your hand”.
Born of a woman,”Ismael born of Hagar, Abraham stepped out of his Nature and almost lost his pride like a Lion to protect his cubs. Belief in one God in the Garden who was not born of a woman. Truth always remains consistent and does not deviate.
“Who am I”
“Who is like God”
“Joined together they became like one of us, Gods and became one God in Nature”
