Listening to a Christian radio yesterday morning to a diatribe about how Judges 9 had to do with the politics of America and how you should vote. I already knew it to be a lie for the simple fact the Word has everything to do with creating your spiritual world by Faith in the Word of one God. Male and Female as the basis for the nuclear family any alteration to this concept would be a disaster for all involved.
Anyone listening to Rod Parsons a well known ,radio and TV evangelist, all he is doing is feeding you a line of bull dung so follow along and see what Judges 9 is really talking about;
Judges 9 takes place in the land of the Cannaities hundreds of years ago. The majority of the Jewish people in the land were worshipping the god Baal. This is where our story takes place.
1 And “Abimelech” the son of “Jerubbaal” went to “Shechem” unto his “mother’s brethren”, and communed with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother’s father, saying
Abimelech refers to a male, means military ldr ,someone who kills—–Jerubbaal means shame—It is worthy to note that the last 4 letters of the name is spelt Baal the Canaanite god.—-Shechem means back or shoulder—–Mothers brethren means the house of his mother had other daughters that worshiped Baal– Mother is the main Jewish temple and the brethren are the satellite temples in the land. Male and female are also the satellite temples that served Baal. That is why Mother is plural in this case. There is lots of symbolism in this first verse. Father is lower case this is referring to a man that heard the voice of God and in the next verse he tells the men to come to their senses, their minds, to the belief in one God. For historical purposes the city of Shechem was located in a valley that was straight as a back or like a shoulder. Again this refers to Golgotha the place of a skull, men are to crucify their minds to the idea of one God one Word one Holy Spirit.
This man is telling the men in Shechem at the main Temple that follow the priest who do you want to reign over you. He mentions that the LordGod created all from His bone this is a reference to Christ in the Garden.
2Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
The men decided to follow Abimelech because he was a military cdr a shining star, Lucifer, of evil and claimed him as a brother. The same symbolism would be Rod Parsons who speaks with authority and if you follow him you are in darkness.
3And his mother’s brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He isour brother.
They gave money unto Rod Parsons [illustration of men of the altar] out of the house of Baalberith– the worship of other gods and the people that follow him, vain and light people are men that follow whatever sounds good all of the same mind.
4 And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him.
Ophrah means fawn that is how we come unto the Lord like children—beingthreescore is joined together to point your eyes to the crucification of Christ hundreds of years later— on one stone is the hardness of Truth the Living Word. Jotham means Jehovah is perfect.
5 And he went unto his father’s house at “Ophrah”, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, beingthreescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.
So what you see here in these first five verses is a man that heard the voice of God who was telling the men that they had a choice to follow the gods of Baal in the land of the Canaanites or to follow one God. The same symbolism, the worship of authority figures in America, men of the altars, will lead you into darkness the same can be seen around the world notably Europe. To the men of the altars, taking of land, from the farmers in South Africa in the end the people or going to starve the same as Zimbabwe whose economy is broke and people are hungry at this time.
We will look at the other verses starting with 6 . In verse 7 you are given a parable. You connotate the trees to men and the olive tree to the trees in the Garden the tree of good and evil each gives you life but only one is eternal. See ya next time in verse 6. You can be good but that does not guarantee your salvation it all rests on your shoulders what you believe?
