Morning coming to you from somewhere from the rivers of blood that flow across
America. I am glad I built an ark unto the Lord years ago and sit high on the mount out of the reach of the gods of Darkness and the altars of man. This is one of those lies that cross the altars of conservatism and liberal churches.
Came across this article by a 30 yr Christian financial counselor telling me how to give my money unto the Lord. Here is the title of his discourse;
Personal Financial Goals for a Christian: A Closer Look at Controlling Your ‘Giving’ and ‘Living’ Expenses
I have no problem with the title we should all know or control the best we can our living expenses and not fall into debt. That part is good. He then writes ten paragraphs on taking care of your basic living costs. He builds a ziggurat and crowned with the all time favorite of the altars, Lk. 21: 1- 4. Since the jest of the article is how much money do you give to the church this is where the lie slithers in like a snake.
I use a KJV lets see what it states;
1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
Now look at the Greek translation of the same verses;
1 And looking up he saw the rich ones putting their gifts into the treasury.
2 And He also saw a certain poor widow putting two lepta there
Here is the serpent; the word mite was added to the English translations of the Bible in 1535 by you guessed it the Roman Catholic Church replacing the Greek word lepta.
Mite; measure of money akin to the smallest Roman coin.
Lepta, in the Greek, means thin or fine. Has nothing to do with money.
The context of the first two verses by logic tell you they were putting gifts into the treasury. The widow put in two gifts out of her living, out of her poverty. What are the two gifts ,think about it for a while. What two gifts of the Lord that are worth more than money?
3 Truly I say to you. This poor widow cast in more than all.
4 For all these out of the abundance cast into the gifts of God, but she out of her poverty, cast in all the living that she had.
Before we figure out what the gifts are we have to look at Mark 12 : 42; the money crowd will throw out this verse;
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Considering that in the first century they did not have a British farthing, KJV is wrong in this translation.
In the Greek; Mark 12 : 42
42 widow poor cast lepta two, which is a quadrans.
Def. Quadran– a bronze coin of ancient Rome worth ¹/₄ of an as ;a unit of value equivalent to an as coin; does not refer to a coin only to something of value.
I don’t have too much problem with verse 4 but there is a difference between what are offerings and what are gifts?
By using logic and context, Mark and Luke were talking about giving gifts unto the Lord. Like I said a mite cannot be equivalent to the value of a farthing unless the British were in Jerusalem at the time of the first century. The word mite and farthing were added in the 1500’s by the Roman Empire.
The correct wording is lepta and quadran.
What are the two gifts that you cast into the gifts of the Lord out of your living?
The two gifts that the widow cast,” BELIEF and FAITH” in God who created her and sustains her in her poverty.
Rich people do not suffer the travails of life, they can have belief but no faith in God. This is evident when Christ was talking to the Pharisees, who He told them their father was of lies. They were stealing from the treasury of God. They claimed to know Christ but had no faith in Christ or the Truth of the Living Word .
So for 30 yrs this person blasphemed the Word of Lord and as did the altars that sit in both camps all for money, prestige and attention. They carried the Lord’s name in vain and the blood and water spills from His chest from the point of a lie.
1 Timothy 6:10 – For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Matthew 6:24 – No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
These are the gods of darkness and the demons, the counselor and the altars, that throw this scripture Lk. 21: 1 -4 out there and tell you it is about tithing and then tell you it is all about how much money you should give the church. If you believe this then you hate your Father and follow the father of lies, you called the darkness upon yourself.
I like the KJV but I also know that there are translation errors in it that is why I look at the Hebrew interlinear Bible to get a correct translation. There is difference between Lepta and Mite in context, the first verse, which was talking about gifts and the last verse which is talking about giving gifts unto the Lord. Nowhere does it say to give to a church only the gifts the Lord gave all of us Belief and Faith. If you have the spirit of discernment then you will see the Truth and add it to your ark unto the Lord.
Your walk to Jerusalem is, perilous and dangerous, narrowed by the lies around you but your Belief and Faith will sustain your journey and Truth will fill your sails, your spirit.
I am going to spend sometime with the Living God, who created me, floating above the rivers of blood and waters that cover the lands of America. The Lord told me to build an Ark years ago. I’m glad I listened to his voice.
Grace and Mercy are your friends as I am.
