Went for a drive today delivering some lunch to my wife of 49 years and drove past one of the altars of the city I live in.  On their marquee it read , ” I don’t believe”, I have to admit they are probably telling the Truth.  I also know that they are using it for marketing purposes to hook you in the nose like cattle.  I suspect their membership is dwindling or they need a bigger church who knows, maybe his wife needs a facelift? Which is not beyond the realm of possibilities.  I listen to one young pastor one day complaining his wife did not have enough clothes and it was because folks like you did not give enough money to his church.

Then I came across a letter from a young man who just got his BA in theology at some university.  He already had problems with the altars in his city.   I,ll provide a couple of his words assessing the situation of the altars;

In preparation in considering visiting a church in the area, I started with watching some of their recent Sunday morning sermons’ series.  You see, in helping me research churches, someone went to great lengths to investigate a few churches and finally recommended that I make a visit to this particular one.  After five minutes of this pastor’s message however, it was quite unlikely I would make the visit. I don’t see anyway around my next statement. I struggle to find alternative words but have been unsuccessful.

As I watched this sermon online at the church’s website, only one thing came to mind; why was this pastor speaking as if his audience were third-graders in elementary school?

As an ordained minister and a student wrapping up a Bachelor of Divinity program, I was just taken-aback by his sermon.

Then he gives the church and pastor a pass;

Don’t wait for it. I’m not going to mention names or locations. I am writing this more for my own sake than anything else. I am certainly not writing to lambast anyone or any church. Also, this post should not be taken as criticism of this pastor or his church.

Then you get statements like this;

Since I was born again in 1983, it seems that the depression which I have battled against most of my life, only intensified as a child of God.

It was so comforting to know that we were surrounded by people who adored our Lord Jesus.  I’m smiling through tears as I think about those days.

The Bible is a book of Prophecy, and the pastors who are truly our shepherds under the Great Shepherd surely should be proclaiming the Whole Word of God!

Pray for Pastors Why?  If they are your Shepard’s.  How many shepherds do you have in your town.  Mine I have probably around 200 of all denominations.  Would the real Shepard please stand up.  So I can get a third grade education and make statements like people who adored Lord Jesus.  In the Old Testament, Gen, it says LORD GOD, which means Christ lives within you.

If you give a pass to the church then you might as well as throw out the entire Old Testament because it is all about men who Shepard you and steal from the Fathers house as it states in Malachi, 3 ; 10 it says mine house to give your tenth, to the Fathers house.  Not to the pastors that steal from you and give you a third grade education.  The word pastor was added by the church in the 1600 hundreds, Eph.4 : 11.  The word pastor is not in the original Aramaic translations.

The shepherds in your town are like the cattle rustlers of the old West everyone has something new to feed you and keep you corralled.  Count the steeples in your town and tell me which one is the real shepherd.  Then you wonder why America is falling it has a third grade education.  The Churches and the colleges all teach socialism and have so for decades.

Pray for the shepherds, I don’t enable the darkness you would have to get me past the following scriptures;

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me”.

“yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.”

In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

That only leaves you.

I watch the Son go down in the West ever evening and watch the darkness engulf America.  One day His Son will not rise in the East an the skies will become dark.

Shalom from somewhere in the wilderness of the floodplains of America.
